NO on Prop 90

I urge a NO vote on California Prop 90 in the November election. Under the cover of the recent New London-eminent domain controversy, right-wingers and libertarians are using money from New York real estate investor Howie Rich (pictured) to attack our legal and government systems.

The issue is well-covered in today's SF Chronicle story by Patrick Hoge and by Eliza Strickland in the SF Weekly last month.

Beyond eminent domain, the prop requires the public to compensate property owners for "regulatory takings" - in other words, if we want new policies but they get in the way of property owners making a buck, we have to pay them for it.
