I joined an excursion Thursday to Nicasio Ridge, in the GGNRA, where the spring bloom was erupting in yellow energy and
blue dicks.
Together with park rangers and community botanists, we tramped through ceanothus to count up the
castilleja affinis ssp. neglecta, an endangered species, aka Tiburon Paintbrush.
We also estimated and geo-tagged population of a threatened perennial herb,
Fragrant Fritillary.
